Mariano was born in Porto Alegre, in the south of Brazil, in 1989. He graduated in Social Comunication and Marketing  (2010/2014) at the state catholic university (PUCRS).

His work with photography and videomaking started around 2013 by capturing musical events and taking pictures of his activities, his surroundings, what caught his eye.

During his studies he worked in advertising as a creative editor; he also took part in developing social impact projects and events in the same period. After graduating Mariano started working in the audiovisual field, and in 2015 he studied photographic language at Fluxo school of Photography and Cinema. That same year he started broadening his work by trying different environments and diverse clients: producing musical videoclips, some business campaigns and events. 
 

In 2017 he transferred to Milan, Italy, and in 2018 he began a masters documentary course at Civica Scuola Luchino Visconti. In April 2020 he concluded his first short film called ‘Piazzale Europa’. He is now a certified documentary and advertisement filmmaker.

As a freelancer Mariano has extensive experience collaborating with advertisement agencies and video production houses; working with video recording and editing, as a director of photography, with copywriting and content creation/advertising videos for social media platforms. Because of his communication skills, Mariano is able to provide clients with excellence network -through working  in productions alongside great artists, brands and creators, he has built a very solid network.

As an editor, storyteller, director and content creator Mariano has also worked in a variety of events such as: festivals, weddings, corporate/institutional summits and fairs for some really amazing clients.

 

As a photographer Mariano is always interested in different working areas, learning everyday from daily life experiences. He believes that for magical moments to happen empathy is needed as well as the exchanging of glances between both sides of the lenses.
